Services

consultation

If you have speech and/or language concerns for your child, but are unsure where to start, a consultation is the perfect fit! The earlier that services are delivered, the more likely children are to develop effective communication. This is a great opportunity to determine if further evaluations and treatment are necessary.

Comprehensive evaluation

A comprehensive evaluation will be used to identify speech and/or language needs. Evaluation areas include expressive and receptive language, pre-verbal skills, articulation, pragmatics/social skills, literacy and executive functioning skills.

The comprehensive evaluation may be waived if the patient has already completed a speech therapy evaluation for the same diagnosis in the past 12 months, and/or if the patient is currently in speech therapy and is transferring from a different speech therapist.

speech therapy sessions

A variety of treatment options are available. Session length will be determined based on child need, attention span and treatment goals. Treatment areas include expressive and receptive language, pre-verbal skills, articulation, pragmatics/social skills, literacy and executive functioning skills.

A comprehensive evaluation is required* prior to commencing regular treatment services.
